Roblox turned 20 this year, and The Hunt: Roblox 20 is the anniversary event marking it, a tour through 20 featured experiences spanning 2006 to 2025. Grow a Garden closes out the timeline as the final stage, and the quest is not what most players expect from a farming game: you are stealing, not planting.
The event went live on September 17, 2026, two days ahead of Update 1.68.0. If you have not started the Grow a Garden leg yet, here is exactly what to do, plus the step almost everyone misses after the main objective is done.
Spawn on your Grow a Garden base as normal, then head toward the center of the map. Turn 90 degrees toward either side and keep walking to the edge. You will reach an area with a large mango tree, where an NPC named Sam is waiting. This is your quest hub for the event. Nearby, across the map, sits Owl's base, guarded by the Wise Owl.
The core task is simple to describe and slower to execute: steal a total of 50 fruits from Owl's base and deliver them to Sam. You can grab fruit while the Wise Owl is asleep. Every fruit you are carrying reduces your walk speed by 2, so hauling a big stack at once slows you down significantly and makes you easier to catch out in the open.
Repeat the steal-and-deliver loop until the Hunt counter on screen reads 50. Teleporting back to your own garden between runs, if you have that unlocked, trims meaningful time off the grind compared to walking the full distance every trip.
Delivering the 50th fruit feels like the finish line, but it is not. Live player reports confirm that after the delivery counter hits 50, you receive a Chilli Mango seed, and the Timeless Roots badge does not unlock until you plant that seed and let it fully grow in your garden.
| Reward | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Progress toward badge | Deliver 50 stolen fruits to Sam |
| Chilli Mango seed | Awarded immediately after the 50th delivery |
| Timeless Roots badge | Plant the Chilli Mango seed and let it fully grow |
| Grown From a Garden UGC | Unlocks together with the Timeless Roots badge |
The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs through 20 quests total, one per featured game, in chronological order from Crossroads in 2006 through Grow a Garden as the 2025 entry. Clearing a game's quest only earns the badge for that stage. You then have to return to the central Hunt hub to claim the matching reward before the next year in the timeline unlocks. Finishing the Grow a Garden leg and skipping the hub claim will leave your overall Hunt progress stuck, even though the in-game badge shows as earned.
Roblox Plus subscribers get up to three additional exclusive items across the event, plus early access to the hub, on top of the standard 20 badges everyone else is working through.
Yes. You can carry several fruits per trip, but each one reduces your walk speed by 2, so a large stack makes you slow and easy to catch near Owl's base.
The delivery count only unlocks the Chilli Mango seed. You need to plant that seed and let it fully grow before the Timeless Roots badge and the Grown From a Garden UGC actually unlock.
From your base, walk toward the center of the map, then turn 90 degrees toward either side and continue to the edge. Sam is near the large mango tree, close to Owl's base.
The Owl guards its base while awake, and your reduced walk speed from carrying multiple fruits makes you more vulnerable during that window. Time your runs for when the Owl is asleep and keep your fruit count manageable.
No. Each of the 20 featured games has its own standalone quest and badge. You can complete the Grow a Garden leg on its own, though the Hunt hub tracks and unlocks the full 2006 to 2025 timeline in order if you want every badge.
No. The Hunt: Roblox 20 quest runs inside the original Grow a Garden. Grow a Garden 2, launched June 12, 2026, is a separate game with no progress transfer between the two.
