Kitsune Ability Explained

The Kitsune pet has a passive aura ability that continuously applies the Chakra mutation (x15 multiplier) to crops within its range. No cooldown timer is involved — the mutation applies automatically while the pet is active and fed.

There is also a rare proc chance to apply Foxfire Chakra (x90 multiplier) instead of regular Chakra. This is one of the highest single-mutation multipliers available from a non-admin pet, making the Kitsune extremely valuable for high-weight crop builds.

Both Chakra and Foxfire Chakra are stackable with other environmental mutations such as Dawnbound, Celestial, Shocked and Disco. Stacking Foxfire Chakra with a Shocked crop (x100) produces a combined multiplier using the formula: 1 + (90 + 100) - 2 = 189x.

Chakra

x15

Standard Kitsune passive. Applies automatically to nearby crops. Stacks with all other non-Chakra mutations.

Foxfire Chakra

x90

Rare proc chance. One of the highest non-admin multipliers in the game. Conflicts with Harmonised Chakra.

How to Get the Kitsune Pet

The Kitsune pet is event-exclusive and is not available from standard egg hatching. It can only be obtained during the Zen Garden seasonal event.

2
Earn Event Currency — During the event, collect Zen Tokens or event-specific currency by completing quests, harvesting special crops, or participating in event activities.

Kitsune vs Other S Tier Pets

The Kitsune is unique among S tier pets because its ability is always active with no cooldown. While Disco Bee can hit a higher single multiplier (x125), it only procs 12% of the time every 20 minutes. Kitsune's consistent passive makes it ideal for large gardens where constant mutation coverage matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Kitsune pet do in Grow a Garden?
The Kitsune applies the Chakra mutation (x15) passively to nearby crops with no cooldown. It also has a rare chance to apply Foxfire Chakra (x90), one of the highest multipliers available from a non-admin pet.
How do you get the Kitsune pet in Grow a Garden?
The Kitsune is only available during the Zen Garden seasonal event via the Kitsune Chest. Outside the event, you can trade for one with other high-value crops or pets.
What is the Kitsune pet worth?
Community trade values estimate the Kitsune between 5 billion and 15 billion Sheckles depending on current demand. Values are higher during periods when the Zen Garden event is not active.
Can you stack Chakra and Foxfire Chakra?
No. Chakra and Foxfire Chakra are in the same conflict group along with Harmonised Chakra. Only one can be active on a crop at a time. The Kitsune will apply whichever triggers first.
Is Kitsune better than Disco Bee?
It depends on your build. Kitsune provides constant passive Chakra coverage with no cooldown, while Disco Bee procs a higher x125 Disco multiplier but only 12% of the time every 20 minutes. For large gardens, Kitsune's reliability often wins.
What hunger does the Kitsune pet have?
The Kitsune pet has a hunger value of 50,000. It will need feeding regularly to keep its passive ability active. Consider pairing with a Capybara pet to slow hunger drain.
